Hildegard of Bingen (10th Century) apparently coined the term veriditas. By this is meant the “greening energy of the Divine” or the “the greening energy of G-D.” This Energy flows through all things, and gives Life to all things.
We are to be means of this Flowing. We are by allowing this Energy to course within and through us. We do not make This flow, the nature of Spirit is to manifest movement.
An image of Jesus and the Cross is Jesus hanging covered with vine. We join Jesus, and all Life there, in Fruitful, Deathless Life. Through the Spirit, the symbol of death outside G-D, in G-D becomes the Fount of Life. Through dying to self-apart-from-G-D, we enjoy Life and share Life. The nature of G-D, of YourSelf, is Life. All sharing of Self, in G-D, is sharing Life, an invitation to others to enjoyment of Life.

Suggested Exercise
Today, tend a plant with tenderness and affection. Be aware of its means of manifesting Life. I recommend you keep a small plant wherever you have set aside for Devotions in your living space.
